Steven Grant

Steve is a seasoned attorney with a broad-based practice that includes corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, business entity structuring, estate planning and administration, and estate and trust litigation. He also has significant experience representing clients in matters involving individual and business taxation, including advising clients before state and federal taxing authorities.

Throughout his career, Steve has worked closely with business owners, executives, and individuals on a wide range of legal matters. He regularly advises clients on the drafting and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, employment agreements, service agreements, leases, and other commercial contracts. His practice also includes extensive experience in estate administration, conservatorships, guardianships, and complex estate and trust disputes, where he has represented trustees, personal representatives, creditors, and beneficiaries.

Steve earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University, Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law. He has been an active member of the legal community throughout his career, including participation in local, state, and national bar and trial lawyer associations.

Steve and his wife, Brenda, a native of Jefferson, Iowa, are excited to begin this next chapter in the Crystal Lake community. Outside of his practice, Steve enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors, including snow skiing and boating.
